Most dogs go crazy for water, but why? Whether it's a fountain, a puddle, the sea or a river, dogs seem really attracted to it, woe to stop them from taking a nice dip. How can we blame him, especially now that we are starting the sunny days.

There are dog breeds defined as "aquatic", such as the American Water Spaniel and the Irish Water Spaniel who love water so much that they have won it even in the name.

Few dog breeds are unsuitable for swimming, such as Bulldogs, but for a structural reason: due to their broad chest and short legs, they struggle to swim, but that doesn't mean they can't have fun in the water! In general, dogs are crazy about rivers, lakes, the sea and swimming pools for exactly the same reason as humans: because it is extremely fun and refreshing.
Swimming is a perfect exercise for our four-legged friends, because it strengthens the heart and lungs by stimulating the entire muscles without being tiring for the hip and shoulder joints.
Remember, if we are in a public place it is always recommended to stay next to them and not take them off, thus making sure to keep our dog under control and not annoy other people.
